In early 2020, Bordeaux Métropole took over the presidency of the Ariane Community (CVA) with its industrial partner ArianeGroup.
The CVA Bureau members had the pleasure to meet again in Seville on 3 and 4 October 2019 for the second Bureau Meeting of the year.
The 19th edition of the CVA Summer School on space transportation systems was hosted on 15 July to 11 August 2018 by the City of Seville.
On 22 June 2022, after two years of CVA presidency, Bordeaux Métropole was finally rewarded with a flight of its logo on board of an Ariane 5.
The 20th CVA Summer School on space transportation systems took place on 1-25 July 2019 at the Sapienza University of Rome’s School of Aerospace Engineering.
The Community of Ariane Cities (CVA) and the town of Kourou – which holds the 2015 CVA Presidency – are jointly presenting an exhibition entitled "50 Years of Space Adventure" at the Grand Hôtel Montabo.
The International Astronautical Congress 2022 was held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris from 18 to 22 September.
The history of space in Toulouse goes back to the French Space Agency CNES being established at Toulouse-Rangueil in 1968, followed by renowned research institutes and laboratories
For the second consecutive year under the Presidency of Bordeaux Metropole and ArianeGroup, the 2nd 2021 CVA Council of Mayors was held at the Mercure Hotel in the heart of Bordeaux.
This year the Science Holidays took place in Cannes from 3 to 10 July.
