THROWBACK : BORDEAUX MÉTROPOLE PRESIDENCY 2020-21

In early 2020, Bordeaux Metropole takes over the Presidency of the Ariane Community (CVA) with its industrial partner ArianeGroup and celebrates the announcement by calling on the artist @gasparedicaro to illuminate the tower in Ariane colours! Finally, Bordeaux Metropole will exceptionally carry out two years of Presidency in order to postpone to 2021 the events cancelled in 2020 due to the pnademic. Despite that, Bordeaux Métropole was able to maintain most of these events: more than sixty brought together hundreds of people either physically or virtually.

Focus on seven Presidency events:

ArianeCross2021 : More than 600 participants from the entire European space transportation family went for a run along the Garonne River in Bordeaux.​

 

 

 

“De la Terre aux Etoiles” :A free exhibition that allowed many visitors to see mock-ups of rockets and learn more about the space sector with the collaboration of @citeespace

 

 

Lecture by Jean-François Clervoy:The French astronaut went to meet the public, including primary schools, to answer many questions about space and astronomy, with the collaboration of @capsciences

 

 

Lecture with @laciteduvin : An oenological and space conference on the return of experience concerning the ageing of wine in zero-gravity in the ISS.

 

 

 

Way4Space Inauguration: With the presence of Alain Anziani, President and Stéphane Delpeyrat Vice-President of Bordeaux Metropole, Way4Space is a centre of inspiration and innovation for inventing and developing the knowledge, technologies and uses of space in the future.

 

 

1st Aeronautics & Space Summit: A meeting for space and aeronautics professionals that brought together several hundred participants in person and online.

 

 

 

Elles Bougent : A day to empower and motivate young girls to discover the space sector, in collaboration with our member ArianeGroup.
