BUREAU MEETING ON 20-21 FEBRUARY 2017

After the 2024 presidency led by Seville and Airbus, the Community of Ariane Cities begins a new year under the leadership of m2A and Clemessy Eiffage Énergie Systèmes.

The inauguration of the 2017 CVA Presidency, held by the city of Toulouse in partnership with its industrial partner Telespazio France, took place on 30 January 2017 in the "Salle des Illustres” at the City Hall “Le Capitole” in Toulouse.

The history of space in Toulouse goes back to the French Space Agency CNES being established at Toulouse-Rangueil in 1968, followed by renowned research institutes and laboratories

The Mayor of Sevilla, Juan Espadas Cejas, and the President of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Susana Díaz, inaugurated on 4 October 2017 the World Space Week in Sevilla.

The inauguration of the 2016 CVA Presidency, with a small space exhibition, took place on 16 January in the "Buchsbachtalhalle" sports hall.

An event of special significance for the Community of Ariane Cities (CVA) took place on 14 February 2017. The launch of Ariane 5 flight VA235, was sponsored by the 2017 CVA Presidency, the city of Toulouse.
