CVA PROFESSIONAL VISIT TO FRENCH GUIANA 2018

The 2018 visit took place in April, with 28 French, German, Italian and Spanish alumni of the 2017 CVA Summer School travelling to French Guiana.

The first excursions were around Kourou, and included the Salvation Islands. These were followed by two full days at the Guiana Space Centre – Europe’s spaceport, where the alumni followed an extensive programme covering all aspects of the base, with opportunities to interact with managers and engineers.

An overnight stay in the Amazon forest and the traditional visit to the capital, Cayenne, rounded off this very thrilling week.

CVA would like to thank all the teams and players involved at the Guiana Space Centre for the organisation and success of this year’s visit.
